RECORD NUMBER OF ENTRIES FOR EIBTM 2007 AWARDS AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS

The EIBTM (European Incentive and Business Travel Market) 2007 Meeting and Incentive Industry Awards has received a record number of entries this year with agencies submitting events from corporate clients such as Vodaphone, BT, Honda, BMW, L’Oreal, Mercedes, Barclays Bank and Porsche.

The awards recognise the contribution, creativity and dedication of meetings and incentives professionals and enables them to achieve global recognition and exposure for outstanding events and campaigns. The six categories reward excellence, innovation, creativity and skill across all events and marketing campaigns.

Judging will take place on the October 18 by an international panel of EIBTM Awards media partners chaired by industry expert Jeremy Garbett. Winners will be announced at EIBTM during a special award ceremony.

The WorldWide Technology Watch (WWTW) competition also received a record number of entries from 40 different companies. Judging for the competition, dedicated to discovering the latest technological innovations with a positive impact on meetings, events, incentive travel, conferences and exhibitions, took place on October 1 by a panel which included: Corbin Ball, CMP, Corbin Ball Associates, USA; Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA- Amsterdam; Didier Scaillet, vice president of global development, MPI, Luxembourg; Paul Hussey, managing director, Olive 360, UK; Charles Robinson, director, Eventuality Solutions, UK and Mike Southon, founder, Beermat.biz, UK.

EIBTM will take place from November 27-29 2007, in Fira Gran Via, Barcelona.
