Membership Sales Executive working for an association who focus on online retail with a membership community of over 2500 retailers, and solution providers to the retail industry. They sit at the heart of this dynamic and rapidly growing industry and their role is to help retailers better understand and improve their online and digital performance. They do this through a busy programme of data analysis, performance benchmarking, insight and community events.

As a Membership Sales Executive you will be an outgoing, dynamic individual who will join their sales team and help grow the membership. It is a highly varied role encompassing telephone and face to face sales, account management, and sales administration and planning. You will need to be very confident, presentable, and articulate and have a genuine interest in sales. The role includes selling a product that's data focused so experience and understanding of working with numbers is a plus. Full training for the data element will be provided but a talent with figures is key to becoming successful in the role. The role offers strong career development opportunities within this exciting and rapidly growing sector, with the opportunity to move into key account management activity in the future.

Membership Sales Executive duties listed below:

  • Recruit new retailers to join the Sales indexes - persuasive email / LinkedIn campaigns and extensive telephone activity
  • Lead gen sales activity:
    • Build target data
    • Telephone campaigns to targeted lists / cold calling
    • Persuasive email campaigns
    • Using LinkedIn to build data and contact target data
    • Attend exhibitions and conferences / face to face sales activity
  • Work closely with and support Sales and marketing to keep CRM system up to date with leads and member contacts.
  • Dealing daily with senior decision makers across the retail and digital sector
  • Through a combination of desk research and telephone activity, source, maintain and improve the quality and volume of their customer (membership) data.
  • Help develop and execute marketing campaigns to support sales activity
  • High volume delegate marketing activity to drive registrations for events through telephone activity, LinkedIn and email.
  • Chase payments / help set up new accounts / issue website login access
  • Administrative support to senior management where required

As a Membership Sales Executive you must have proven B2B sales experience from either Business Information, Data Sales or Business Data Sales to be put forward, ideally the client wants 2 years experience but they will consider min 1 year.
