Toyota Auris launch among new wins for P&MM

Director of events Chris Clarke says P&MM are “snowed under” with client briefs and recent conversions make him optimistic about the coming year.

“Everything seems to be very short term and we are thinking in terms of recruiting in readiness for the May/June period which is looking very busy. We didn’t cut any staff last year so that’s a very positive indicator. We are getting car launches and incentives seem to be back in the game. We have won a Toyota Auris hybrid press launch in May, we have roadshows for an electronics client and we have some financial services clients moving back into incentives."

Clarke believes client confidence is being restored by the improving economic climate but says long-term planning is still difficult. “Most of our business wins for this year seem to have been booked in the next three months,” he said. “We have been going well in the last quarter and this one. We are as busy as I can remember – the mood amongst our clients is definitely better than it was and I’m very optimistic about achieving our targets for this year."
