Zibrant expands into Dublin and Paris
Zibrant’s growth in the first quarter of this year is continuing with staff recruitment under way for new operations in Dublin and Paris.
The event and venue sourcing business has added 30 people since December and now boasts 15 nationalities across staff in the Canterbury operation. The head count now stands at 170 and director Fay Sharpe says she is looking for five new operations staff for the new overseas offices where the volume of business has grown.
Sharpe says the growth in head count reflects increasing confidence and a big increase in the number of events already booked for 2010. She said: “Business is phenomenal and we have some fabulous business coming through the doors. I think we will have a great year. Clients are planning better this year than last and are more prepared to commit, whereas last year was almost quarter by quarter. This year we have a more even spread.
“Venue sourcing for smaller meetings is variable and some clients and industries are still feeling cautious and still looking carefully at budgets. We have recruited more than 30 people since December and I’m still looking for more account managers. That gives you an idea of the growth in business volumes.”
Amongst those who have been recruited are Lucy Salmon who will head up the marketing department and Hannah Branch as senior account manager.
New additions in the Canterbury office include Phillippa Coborne, project manager; Simon Beard, project director; Basia Dudziak, event registration executive and Claire Reeves, project manager.
