Corporate Innovations restructures in bid to boost profits
Corporate Innovations has been split into two distinct business units with the aim of improving customer service and boosting profits. Each business unit will look after all the interests of existing clients, rather than services being divided between separate departments. The units will also work to unearth new business opportunities.
Former sales director Gareth Baldwin will oversee one of the business unit teams, while the Oxfordshire-based customer experience marketing specialist has appointed Richard Skeels, previously client services director at Indeprod, as its second business unit director.
Skeels said of the new structure: “As we continue to grow, we strongly believe it’s not in the best interests of our clients to have separate departments dealing with their activities because you risk losing the original point of contact, understanding of the customers’ requirements and the strength of the relationship. By having two individual business units that boast a cross-section of skills and knowledge – including incentive travel, rewards and creative – we give our customers an even better service and do an even better job for their brands.”
Corporate Innovations managing director, David Watt, added: “Re-focussing our business activities is a significant development and by also placing even greater emphasis on social marketing methods and giving our clients firm return on investment figures that underline the success of the initiatives we’re implementing for them, we are enhancing the service package that we offer and taking the Corporate Innovations Group to a new level.”
Corporate Innovations recorded its best-ever financial year in 2009, with turnover of £4.1m and profit of £345,000. The board of directors expect to surpass that figure in 2010 following the company restructure.
