Battersea granted the power to party

A spark of life has been breathed into London’s Battersea Power Station with the launch of a new venue inside the iconic building. The Boiler House at Battersea Power Station is a 1,000-capacity temporary structure with a clear gable end and roof section offering impressive views of the power station’s chimneys.

The new venue will help the Grade II listed building earn revenue while its Irish owner, Treasury Holdings, awaits planning permission for a £3bn redevelopment scheme that includes more than 3,700 homes on the site. Event management company industri management has permission to use the space for three years.

The venue was officially launched on Tuesday with a showcase of accredited suppliers. Approved creative agencies include AD Events, Essentially Group, Fisher, Ingenius, Innovision, Nibbs Events, Starlight Design and Sutherland Smith, while the list of 15 approved caterers features Absolute Taste, Nomad, Purple Grape Catering, The Admirable Crichton and The Moving Venue Caterers.
