Registrations rising for Academic Venue Show
Registrations are already ahead of last year for the 2010 Academic Venue Show, taking place Wednesday 12 May at the Emirates Stadium, London. The theme for 2010 is ‘bright ideas for your next event’ and the show will feature more than 40 exhibitors from top UK academic venues. The keynote speaker for the event is Ruby Wax, and Mike Lyon and Peter Rand will also be presenting.
Venuemasters chief executive, Terry Billingham, said: “Registrations for this year’s show are going really well, and there’s a real buzz about the event. The appeal of academic venues is increasing as event organisers recognise their benefits such as great value for money, excellent service and easily accessible locations.”
Academic venues offer very competitive rates with an average day delegate rate of £34, flexible facilities and locations across the UK, from city centre to rural and coastal settings.
New Venuemasters member The University of St Andrews will be exhibiting ahead of the opening of its £45m New School of Medicine in June 2011, with attendees at the show receiving a 10 per cent pre-opening discount for all residential conference bookings made before the end of August 2010. Visitors to the University of York stand are offering a 10 per cent discount for any enquiries taken on the day, while 11 London venues are offering a free prize draw for the chance to win £100 of high street vouchers.
