TRO celebrates £1m of business wins in first quarter

Experiential agency TRO is celebrating six new business wins in the first quarter worth in excess of £1m. The wins came from a broad range of B2B and B2C activities in a number of sectors including government, financial services, fmcg, retail and energy. In addition TRO has confirmed new projects with existing clients but MD Rob Allen is still wary of claiming this as evidence of guaranteed growth this year.

“I’m being wary because I think there will be little growth this calendar year – I think it will be similar to 2009 but I think it shows clients out there are now undertaking more new projects,” said Allen. “We’ve still never lost a client so part of our job is to keep clients active. We have new business in the pipeline.

“I’m not able to comment on our results for the 2009 trading year until they are filed in the second or third quarter”, said Allen (the agency became part of the Omnicom Group in 2008) “but the CPM and Omnicom deal is working for us in that we have had access to a number of their clients and this gives us an international network.”

Allen said how TRO handles this business in future is under discussion but says that his agency’s work abroad is gradually increasing.
