‘Six-figure’ profits cheer The Ultimate Event Company
The Ultimate Event Company is bringing the financial year to a close with a healthy bottom line, against all expectations.
Ultimate’s delighted director Sam Robson said she had budgeted for break even for the year ending March 2010 but will deliver “a six-figure profit”.
“We are really pleased with the way things are going after a worrying start to 2009. We have a big conference in Monaco for more than 800 back-to-back next month which kick-starts the new financial year well and a lot of international enquiries are flowing back into the business. We are looking at events in Croatia, Czech Republic and Switzerland and this month we have run meetings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Pheonix, Arizona. Business is definitely improving although it is still cost-sensitive. We also have an excellent Sony project for the World Cup in South Africa.”
Robson says she is recruiting for a new business development role and feels “more positive” about the year ahead.
“Last year wasn’t a pleasant year but we took a positive approach and it has paid off for us.”
