MCI continues to grow with two new acquisitions

07/03/2011

MCI plans to grow revenues by 20 per cent this year and is focusing on emerging markets such as Latin America and the Middle East.

The communication and event management group has made acquisitions in Argentina and Dubai so far this year. In February, Argentina-based event company Kaizen Eventos became part of MCI along with Informed Events in Dubai.

Kaizen Eventos focuses on corporate events, with a strong presence in the finance and insurance sectors, while Informed Events handles all aspects of event and congress management for corporations and associations, specialising in medical and pharmaceutical industries in the Middle East & Gulf.

MCI is also raising €8m (£6.74m) in equity funding from Iris Capital – it will be used to continue growth and add new services.

As the business grows, MCI is enhancing its public affairs offering and has appointed Fred Soudan, who is the founder and partner of LOGOS Public Affairs, an independent public affairs company in Brussels. MCI Public Affairs will focus on assisting organisations with strategy and public policy implementation.
