The Canadian Tourism Commission has celebrated its key global partners, holding its inaugural Global Vision Awards dinner during international trade show IMEX.
Held at the Schloss Hoechst with entertainment by Canadian singer songwriter Ann Vriend, the Customer of the Year award was won by Luc Hendickx from the International Diabetes Foundation. Hendrickx praised the CTC’s client-focused approach to winning events business, noting it aims to be “interested, not interesting”.
The Partner Organisation of the Year award was awarded to Red e2 Ltd, collected by Stephen Pope; and the Media Partner of the Year Award went to Atti Soenarso of Meetings International.
Earlier in the day a press conference by CTC's Michele McKenzie pointed to Canada’s events infrastructure investment to build upon the 2010 Winter Olympics legacy, including most notably the extension of the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, and the new Ottawa Congress Centre which opened last month.
