Event organisers and corporate buyers from companies such as KPMG, Banks Sadler and the Ultimate Event Company joined the launch party of Merlin Entertainments’ newest venue, the London Eye Barracuda.
The 200 guests - who connected with Merlin Events via LinkedIn to get their ticket to the event – boarded the boat for an evening of live music and entertainment themed on the bygone era of ocean liners. There was also a Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike from Disney’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise to entertain.
The Art Deco-inspired Barracuda is available for private and corporate events and can accommodate up to 230 guests reception-style or 140 seated for dinner. The boat features intimate booth seat dining and a mirrored 1930’s bar with a decorative iron grille facade, tan leather sofas, chaise longues, a dance floor and retractable roof.
Event partners of the launch included photography by Henry Stuart/Spherical Images and Digital Paparazzi, floral arrangements by Designer Flowers, entertainment from Prelude Entertainment, card tricks by Charismagic and catering by Rhubarb Food Design.
