European association executives to hold seminar on fund-raising

19/08/2011

The European Society of Association Executives (ESAE) is holding a half-day conference on how to raise funds.

On Friday September 30, in the Hotel Le Plaza, Brussels, ESAE will be explaining the intricacies of optimising fund-raising opportunities and staying ahead of corporate governance and finance arrangements. It promises to teach delegates how to access assistance in writing winning proposals and present real case studies on how to successfully raise funds.

“The way we do business is changing daily, with a constant need to consider new ideas to proactively and successfully shape the future of our organisations,” said an ESAE spokesperson. “This session aims to address some of the most important topics and issues in the daily management of associations and not for profit organisations."

Presentations giving the inside track on how to get sponsorship will be made by Merle Achten, research policy and research funding advisor at the University of Maastricht; and Mark Carrigan, of Carrigan Consulting, Fundraising & Management.
