Hotelscene celebrates success at the 2011 HBAA Awards

13/09/2011

Hotelscene was named ‘Large Agent of the Year’ at the Hotel Booking Agents Association (HBAA) Awards. Small and Medium Agency of the Year titles were won by First Choice Conference and Events and Conference Care, respectively.

Meanwhile Cheshire-based Peckforton Castle triumphed in a new category – Conference Venue of the Year – despite suffering an arson attack in June, which damaged around 25 per cent of the venue. Both Agent of the Year and Venue of the Year awards were voted for by corporate clients, with 2,472 votes cast.

Further awards presented included Best Demonstration of CSR to ACC Liverpool; the Training & Development Award to Malmaison/Hotel du Vin; and Promoting Excellence within the Industry to Trinity Conferences.

Juliet Price, chair of the HBAA said: “Congratulations to all of those shortlisted and in particular to the winners. These awards really do recognise the dedication and vigour that we have in raising levels of professionalism in the association and wider sector."
