London event show RSVP will be incorporated into events trade exhibition International Confex in 2012.
In June, Single Market Events ended its management contract for RSVP London with Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF), the Australian owners of the RSVP brand, leaving some doubt as to the future of the show.
Jodie Richmond at ETF, said: “We are really delighted to see the RSVP brand in the UK passed to International Confex, a move that will ensure its unique, dynamic and vibrant offering for the special events market will continue to develop and thrive.”
The agreement between UBM and ETF comes as Confex prepares to move to London’s ExCeL from 2012, with the larger venue allowing the show to grow even further.
Jonny Sullens, International Confex event director, said: “RSVP was a unique show that offered something different to Confex and we want to replicate that in 2012. RSVP was a show that had a lot of loyal visitors and exhibitors and this move will give a new home to both, giving them a ‘live’ environment in which to buy and sell the services they need.
“The new agreement underlines our place as the primary show to attend for buyers of parties, meetings, conferences and events. We believe the time is right for the entire events industry to unite under one roof and lay on an inspirational showcase as part of Britain for Events - the annual marketing campaign designed to promote Britain as a world class destination for events.”
