Congrex gets closer to Geneva Convention Bureau

29/11/2011

Congrex Switzerland has signed a three-year direct partnership agreement with the Geneva Convention Bureau (GCB).

Over the past few years, Congrex has organised numerous congresses in Geneva and knows the region's 15-plus conference and seminar centres and over 120,000 sqm exhibition space well. Congrex said it is delighted with the new cooperation, as it will now benefit from the professional services that the GCB has been providing for years.

β€œThe partnership agreement with the GCB is an important step towards implementing our market development strategy,” said Alain Pittet, regional managing director, Congrex Schweiz. β€œ
Geneva is not only one of the cities worldwide that holds the most international congresses; it is also where the headquarters of numerous international associations and the UN are located.”

The agreement means that Congrex is now a preferred, though not exclusive, partner of the Geneva Convention Bureau.
All direct members, including PCOs, of Geneva Convention Bureau get the same chance to offer services if requested.

Congrex refused to be drawn on whether there are financial aspects to the partnership. The contract is valid from 1 January 2012 for three years.
Congrex is a member of several convention bureaux worldwide.
