Integrated event production company Smyle is opening a new London office in the ‘Tech City’ area near Old Street. The company – whose headquarters are in Hertford – will open the satellite office in the regenerated East London area in a bid to be closer to next year's Olympic activities, as well meeting the demands of its growing London client base, suppliers
and partner venues.
Rick Stainton, Smyle’s managing director, said: “This is an
exciting development for Smyle that will immediately support our Olympic
projects as well as a longer term commitment to our enhanced client management
& growth plans. We are looking at other opportunities to support our
enhanced live communications portfolio and delivery reach, so this is likely to
be the first of several satellite offices.
“The Tech
City location around Old Street has
received a lot of attention and investment recently from the creative and
technology sectors, including global leaders such as Google and Intel, hence it
is the perfect choice for Smyle’s rare production model that offers in-house
creative and technical services for our clients’ live events and media
requirements.”
Tracy Halliwell, director of business tourism & major
events for London & Partners, added: "I am delighted by the news that an award
winning agency such as Smyle has taken the strategic step to open up an office
in London.
Creative agencies such as Smyle really add something to London's overall profile as the world leading
events destination. With 2012
being such as monumental year for London's
events industry, it's seems fitting that Smyle will also be here."
