Ibiza Tourism Board has launched its own convention bureau as it aims to
showcase the Spanish island to the corporate market.
Ibiza Convention Bureau was launched at EIBTM in Barcelona earlier this month, successfully attracting
enquiries for meetings, conventions and incentive events. The island, renowned for its beaches and nightlife, is already popular with consumer brands such as Nike, Swarovski and
Volkswagen, which have all recently organised events there.
Carmen Ferrer of Tourism Ibiza highlighted that
Ibiza can offer value-for-money and that the bureau would be extending the high summer season
to April, May and September and October, maximising potential for congresses
and corporate events.
Jonathan Gomez, director of the new Ibiza Convention Bureau, said: “The
principal function of the bureau will be to convert Ibiza
into an unbeatable strategic point for upcoming events, consolidating the
Balearic Island as a key MICE destination.”
