Crown Foundation hits £150k fundraising mark on third birthday

03/01/2012

A charitable foundation set up by the Crown Group has succeeded in raising £150k for good causes, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Forces Children’s Trust.

Staff at Crown Group companies, which include event management company Kudos and caterer Seasoned Events, have undertaken a plethora of fundraising activities since the Crown Foundation was established three years ago. These have included climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, selling cakes at London’s Leadenhall Market and family fun days at Thorpe Park.

Charles Beer, managing partner, Crown Group said: “The Crown Foundation was born out of a desire to give back, and we are extremely proud that over the last three years we have managed to offer our chosen charities substantial financial support, helping them to make a real difference to people’s lives across UK.”

To celebrate the foundation’s third birthday and fundraising milestone, Crown ran a competition for its staff to design a new Foundation logo, aiming to capture the essence of what the foundation stands for. The winning design was then used as a basis for the development of a new website.

The new website, aimed at staff, clients and customers, will encourage further donations and host news and photos from the various fundraising activities. www.Crown-foundation.co.uk
