Exhibition and
events company SO Group has launched a new live marketing division. The
formation of ‘SO Live’ comes as the group approaches its first anniversary since
it was formed by a merger of Early Action Group, Stanco Exhibitions, Opex and
Expo Systems.
Director of SO Live,
Martin Mochan, said: “SO Group’s core business is exhibitions and offering
services to exhibitors such as bespoke stand design, but increasingly we have
started to work with experiential and events agencies and PCOs that have
different needs. SO Live allows us to build economies of scale around brand
marketing activity.”
He added that the
core team had been sourced from within the SO Group and will be based out of the
group’s Manchester offices.
“We’ve been
developing SO Live since the summer and have already delivered some very
successful projects at the back end of 2011,” he said. “We’re working with a
major footwear brand on a three-tiered marketing campaign including everything
from their exhibition activity to their point of sale material, plus we’re also
working for some notable event agencies and PCOs to help convey their clients'
brand messages across events and conferences.”
SO Live will be
showcased at the Event Production Show at Olympia from February 1-2 and at
Confex at ExCeL from March 6-8.
