Jack Morton Worldwide among new supporters of Meeting Needs

02/02/2012

Four more leading event industry brands have joined the growing group of big names financially supporting event industry charity Meetings Industry Meeting Needs (MIMN).

Jack Morton Worldwide, Noble Events, London City Selection and Quantum Leap Events have committed to a year’s Charity Partner status to bolster MIMN’s fund-raising and spread the charity’s influence. MIMN – a registered charity - was set up to enable the event industry to raise funds and distribute to good causes most often lacking government support or the wherewithal for major fund-raising. Often these good causes are connected to those working in the events industry and in the past year more than £90,000 worth of projects have been funded in the
UK and overseas. The charity is operated entirely with volunteer staff.

MIMN executive committee member Peter Rand MBE said he was delighted with the new additions. “We have now attracted most of the top event agencies to join us as Charity Partners and we are certain now that the others will follow. Being part of MIMN is an excellent way to be consistently involved in corporate social responsibility at some level for even the smallest companies.”

MIMN’s first Charity Partner networking event hosted by Twickenham Experience shared details of recent projects funded by MIMN and was attended by more than 70 event industry professionals.
