Hong Kong dines out on Chinese New Year

02/02/2012

Meetings & Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) celebrated Chinese New Year this week with 90 industry partners and event management professionals with lion dancing and an authentic banquet at Cantonese restaurant Grand Imperial London.

The annual networking event hosted guests from agencies including AddingValue, TFI Group, Paragon Events, River Marketing and FMI, and association event organisers, alongside representatives from MEHK and industry partners from airlines, destination management companies and hotels including Cathay Pacific Airways, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group and Destination China.

Guests were treated to dim sum canapés and cocktails symbolising the year of the dragon before a Chinese New Year banquet at the restaurant, located within The Grosvenor Hotel, with a surprise performance from The Shaolin Warriors UK.

Hong Kong attracted 45,000 MICE visitors from the
UK last year – a four per cent increase year-on-year.
