A new Twitter directory has been launched to help connect events professionals through social media and generate business.

The directory, www.eventprofsindex.com, has been compiled by industry journalist Mike Fletcher and Peter Kerwood, marketing director of events venue, Altitude London.

Fletcher said: “Ensuring you're listed on eventprofsindex.com is a great way to find and follow fellow professionals in the events sector. It is a comprehensive directory of relevant twitter accounts and an important business aid.”

Kerwood added: “We are delighted to be able to offer this tool to help the event industry engage with the ever growing number of peers using Twitter. Bringing together event professionals in one place, means that the industry can connect, interact and engage with each other more easily.”

Further features to be added over the next few weeks which include a leader board of the industry’s most active and best connected users.

Twitter users can keep up to date with events industry news by searching for #eventprofs, while Fletcher and Kerwood can be contacted via @mikeyfletch and @pkerwood.
