AIME organisers claim 15 per cent increase in hosted buyers

21/02/2012

The 20th Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) opened in Melbourne with an up-beat ceremony and positive news of a 15 per cent increase in hosted buyers.

Organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Sally De Swart said they had worked hard to deliver not only more hosted buyers (more than 500 were booked to attend) but also a better profile of buyer to fit with the requirements of the 779 exhibitors from 44 countries through data mining and research.

More than half of the hosted buyers were first time visitors to the show, according to De Swart. The total number of pre-registered visitors for the show is 3736 and the show takes place over two days on 21-22 February. Reed’s Craig Moyes said he expected a record attendance at this year’s show.

Next year’s show dates were also announced with a delay of nearly of a month to 19-20 March, 2013.
