Meeting Needs gives a lift to three wheelchair users

13/03/2012

Conference and events industry charity Meetings Industry Meeting Needs (MIMN) has funded the purchase of three wheelchair hoists for disabled people who would otherwise be unable to afford them.

The hoists – costing more than £3000 - give mobility by enabling wheelchairs to be lifted into motor cars for storage between journeys. The funding and delivery to users in Devon, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire was arranged through specialist charity  Motability.

Tom Lowres, Motability Trust Fundraiser, said: “Without the support from organisations such as yours, much of our important work would not be possible.

MIMN executive committee member Tim Chudley said: “We are delighted to help Motability and support their superb work.”
