Experiential marketing agency Line Up hopes to raise £5,000
for UK-based charity Connect
– which has played a big part in the recovery of its managing director Duncan
Beale, who suffered a major brain haemorrhage last year – when it fields a team
of 13 amateur joggers for this year’s Richmond Park
10k on 9 June.
Connect helps people suffering from aphasia, a communication
disability that can arise after a stroke or brain trauma, through the provision
of training and the delivery of services, advice, and support.
Jess Littman, head of B2B events at Line Up and one of the joggers, said: “The competition between runners is already hotting up. For a collection of individuals not all
renowned for their sporting prowess, it’s amazing the effort everyone is making
to support this great cause.”
Anyone wishing to support the team and the work of
Connect can do so by visiting Line Up’s JustGiving team page https://www.justgiving.com/teams/Line-Up
and sponsoring one of the runners.
