Radisson Blu rolls out pharma meetings package

05/04/2012

Radisson Blu hotels has rolled out a meetings package in the UK dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry.

The package – which includes ABPI Code of Conduct compliance and healthcare industry specialists on-site – is available at three properties in the UK. The Radisson Blu Portman Hotel Central London, the Radisson Blu Hotel Manchester Airport, and the Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted Airport will all be offering the services.

The launch follows the appointment of Katie Hutchins as sales manager for pharmaceuticals. She said: “I’m thrilled to have had the support to develop a great offer to go out to market with. Our properties in Central London, and at Stansted and Manchester Airports are each more than suitably equipped to meet the demands of the pharmaceutical industry in particular, offering great privacy and international connections, and with detailed knowledge of the ABPI regulations pertaining to ‘Meetings and Hospitality’ is something we think will help our properties to stand out from the competition.”

Day delegate rates for the Radisson Blu Pharmaceutical Industry Meetings package, entitled Blu+, start at £38 DDR.

It's a code of Practice not Conduct. And how can a hotel be compliant? It is not the hotel that can be compliant. It is the company organising the event that needs to comply with Clause 19 of the Code. The meeting itself needs to be the reason to use a venue, not the hospitality. How the hotel can decide what is relevant hospitality, subsistence etc is bizarre.
