Gray Dawes is still sprightly at 85, says CEO

23/04/2012

Gray Dawes Travel and Expense will hold a special company conference to celebrate 85 years in business this week.

The Colchester-based travel management company, which recently rebranded as an expense management specialist, was originally founded in 1865 as a shipping and insurance business. It was established as a travel agency in 1927 following a service agreement with Imperial Airways, the airline that eventually became British Airways.

Suzanne Cockburn, CEO at Gray Dawes said: “Gray Dawes is very proud of its place in the history of the travel industry.  It is also particularly proud that the pioneering spirit of its founders continues today with the recent re-launch of the company as the first travel and expense management company offering a totally integrated travel and expense management solution to corporate travellers.”
