The drpgroup
has produced an official Olympic mobile quiz app for Thomas Cook to help the sponsor promote its short
breaks and give people a chance to win tickets to the Games.
Thomas Cook
is already an existing client of the London-based agency and the idea arose
from previous work between the two companies. The app –
which costs 69p on iTunes – will be live until 16 July and will give the public
the opportunity to win tickets to various sporting events at the Olympics,
including the Men’s 110m hurdles semi-finals and finals. The app has 20 rounds
and answers are judged on reaction time and correct answers.
Apps have become a bigger part of the drpgroup’s portfolio, following the company’s
acquisition of media specialists MS Internet last year.
The MS team became part of drpdigitalmedia, allowing the
group to expand its digital service offering, including mobile phone apps for
events, virtual meetings, website development and event registration.
