ManchesterLive hits London for showcase

15/05/2012

More than 35 of Manchester’s top venues and conference providers descended on London last week to give event organisers a taste of what the city has to offer.

Event planners from assocations such as the British Orthopaedic Association and Royal College of Physicians were among guests at the ManchesterLive showcase at The Roof Gardens in Kensington. Exhibitors at the event included Visit Manchester, Manchester Cathedral, Manchester City Football Club, Manchester United Football Club, University of Manchester and a large number of hotels.

Following meetings with exhibitors, guests were treated to an exclusive performance by singer Mica Paris.

Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: “This was our third ManchesterLive event and it was a great success. The Roof Gardens is an incredible venue and our guests were able to enjoy the surroundings whilst networking with 37 of the city’s hotels, venues and service providers. Mica Paris proved a popular choice and matched the impressive standard set by Alison Moyet and Russell Watson at previous ManchesterLive events. We look forward to working with our partners on the business leads discussed at the event and spreading the word of what Manchester has to offer the UK conference industry.”
