Meetings Show UK ramps up hosted buyer and sales teams

05/07/2012

The Meetings Show UK, Centaur Exhibitions' new trade show for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry, has boosted its team by adding a hosted buyer manager and another sales manager.

Julie Mayeras, the hosted buyer manager, joins from Atout France, the French tourist board, where she spent six years, three of them focused on and based in the UK and Irish markets. She will manage a £1m budget dedicated to delivering 1,500 qualified buyers from across the UK and Europe. The new sales manager, Adam Garside, who will concentrate on exhibitors and suppliers, comes from IML Group, where he was group sales manager.

Steve Knight, event director of the Meetings Show UK, said: "The need for another sales manager has been accelerated to support the significant interest we are seeing in the show. As a show organised by meetings professionals for meetings professionals, it is vital that all our team have significant industry knowledge and expertise. Through various roles, both Julie and Adam have a combined total of 15 years experience within the meetings industry."

According to organisers, the inaugural show, to be held 9-11 July, 2013, at Olympia, London, will feature destinations from more than 50 countries across six continents, as well as venues, hotels and key providers of meetings products and services.
