More than 150 guests met in summer sunshine at One
Marylebone in London
for The Oysters Summer Party last week.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the event saw representatives from 20
participating destinations put on a spectacular range of experiences, including
a Kylie impersonator from Australia,
Santa Claus from Finland
and a scantily clad Swedish male model. Guests could sample a range of
dishes from all over the world, from delicious Irish oysters to savouries from Cyprus, Italian limoncello to dates from Oman, Maltese kannoli and sushi from Japan.
Cocktail enthusiasts learned to create their own concoction with a Canadian
mixologist, while beer lovers were treated to excellent Flemish and Belgian
brews, with a stunning German artistic cocktail show a highlight of the
evening.
Activities include Icelandic hand massage at the Blue Lagoon Spa, while Dubai’s henna tattooist and South Africa’s face painters proved
popular.
The event was organised by Beyond Certainty with
catering from The London Kitchen, with support from headline sponsors The
Meetings Show UK,
and bronze sponsor Kerzner.com.
Oysters’ spokesperson Marie Anne Barthet Brown commented: “We knew that this
year we would have our work cut out following the success of previous events. But
the response from guests has been amazing. Our grateful thanks go to all who
contributed to making our 4th Annual Summer Party such a wonderful
occasion. We’re all looking forward to next year’s event.”
