18/07/2012

Frans Johansson, author of the book The Medici Effect,  will provide the keynote speech at the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Global Corporate Summit in Glasgow.

Johansson will talk about innovation, the future and exploring the optimal path forward, in a programme organisers say "will represent the very pinnacle of educational excellence in the global meetings and events market”.

Other parts of the summit, held in partnership with VistScotland, the SECC (Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre) and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, will include 'Deep-dive' sessions that will cover global meetings leadership, a presentation on strategic meetings management, a discussion on the challenges for globalising programs and workshops on technology, the digital world and outsourcing.

The conference, taking place 22-25 July, is open only by invitation, with corporates attending including senior meeting planners and executives from McDonald’s, Microsoft, Nike and Cisco.
