The fresh Group shows its skills to secure new public sector business

07/08/2012

Creative communications agency The fresh Group has been appointed to deliver the special events production at The Skills Show, taking place at the NEC Birmingham in November.

The Skills Show is the UK’s biggest national skills and career event, providing opportunities in further education, skills and apprenticeships. The show takes place from 15-17 November and is set to attract more than 100,000 visitors.

This new business win boosts The fresh Group’s client list and increases its existing public sector and live event experience.

The Cheshire-based agency will deliver the creative concept, technical production, event logistics, artistic management, video production, digital offering and content management for the opening and closing ceremonies (attended by 4,000 guests) as well as smaller awards ceremonies.

Managing director Patrick Howells said: “We are thrilled to be joining up with The Skills Show on such an exciting project. We worked hard during the pitch process and are looking forward to seeing some of our creative ideas come to life. In the current climate, the event has never been more relevant and we are proud to be a part of it.”

Ross Maloney, chief executive of The Skills Show, added: “The Skills Show provides a unique opportunity to inspire people with exciting opportunities in further education, skills and apprenticeships through having a go at new skills, getting careers advice and meeting employers, colleges and learning providers. The show not only recognises the talents of young people across the United Kingdom, but highlights the vital importance of skills to economic growth.”
