SO Group snaps up 360 Creative Event Services

20/08/2012

Exhibition and event services supplier SO Group has acquired 360 Creative Event Services (360), making it "one of the largest integrated, live event service suppliers in Europe". The deal is the latest in a string of mergers and acquisitions by SO Group and sees its portfolio expand to include AV, technical, floral and creative services.

Part of the deal will see Steve Barratt, SO Group’s chief executive, become president, while 360 chairman David Walley becomes group chief executive of SO Group. 360 Creative Event Services will keep its name, with David Harding continuing as chief executive. 360’s clients include such major names in sport as Silverstone, Cheltenham, PGA Tour and the Lawn Tennis Association. It provides event hire and technical services through to creative concepts, design and project management.

Walley commented: “Two years ago, when we created 360, we had ambitious plans. This deal is the culmination of those plans, and SO Group is the natural home for 360. SO Group is committed to delivering the best services and having the best people. We will continue to explore new markets and opportunities.”

Barratt added: “360 is the perfect fit for SO Group. [Its] expertise and client base are complementary to SO Group’s, and they share our values of quality service, design and creativity."
