18/09/2012

VisitScotland’s new meetings and incentives marketing manager for the UK, Amanda Henderson, has said she wants to lead a “renewed thrust” to get corporate business for the destination.

Henderson
, formerly marketing manager, Europe at VisitScotland, is now tasked with increasing meetings and incentive business to Scotland both from within the UK and around the world. Henderson, who started her career at Edinburgh International Conference Centre in 2001, will work alongside Lindsay Brown, UK marketing manager-business tourism.

Henderson
said: “Part of the role is to provide a platform for the buyers, too. I would like to give a renewed thrust to the corporates, particularly in the south east.”

The Business Tourism Unit has also appointed two new marketing executives, Louisa Mungall and Danielle McKinlay. Mungall joins from the marketing department of the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, while McKinlay has previously completed a one-year professional work placement with VisitBritain based in New York City.
