MD Events expands into Brazil and Hong Kong

08/10/2012

Bracknell-based MD Events has opened an office in Rio de Janeiro, with plans to do the same in Hong Kong.

Licia Andrade, Latin America operations manager, and her team are already in Rio, which will host both the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games, and will be assisted Karen Dunham, who is based in Philadelphia, USA. The Hong Kong opening date and personnel will be announced shortly.

Miriam Dervan, MD’s chief executive, commented: “Responding to our clients’ requests, we are expanding our global footprint to be an industry pioneer with presence on five continents and increase the company’s capacity to deliver meetings globally. MD Events is aligning itself with the territories where our clients are experiencing growth and want us to be present.”
