Scottish events agency Roselle has teamed up with Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University (RGU) to give a student a placement at the company.
Roselle, which has offices in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, will give Rachel Forsyth - a first year event management student - a placement at the company for a three-month period.
Charlotte McIntosh, managing director at Roselle Events, said: “Having been to university myself, I understand how important it is to gain some hands-on experience in the industry before you start looking for work, as it not only gives you a feel for the work you could be doing but also helps you find out if it is something you really want to do.
“As well as being a great exercise for students, having an intern is great for us, too. It not only gives us a chance to meet the future talent of the events industry but also brings in a fresh pair of eyes to the different events we are planning for clients. We want to offer students an insight into how we work and in return show them how they can harness their talent to become well-rounded, skilful graduates when entering the industry.”
Rachel Forsyth won the internship with Roselle after achieving the highest grades on her course over the last year. She said: “I am really looking forward to starting my placement with Roselle. It is a fantastic opportunity and I am hoping it will provide me with excellent experience and exposure to take forward in my future career in this competitive business sector.”
