Event marketing agency First Protocol managed the official re-opening of the Jubilee Gardens on London's South Bank, attended by Her Majesty The Queen. The event marked the official unveiling of the gardens as a new green landmark in Central London following a multi-million pound landscaping project.
Acting as overall project lead in planning and managing event logistics and production on-site, First Protocol managed a supply chain of local suppliers, including caterers Table Talk, who donated goods and services to the Jubilee Gardens Trust.
Approximately 60 guests attended, including local school children, HM Lord Lieutenant for Greater London, the Mayor of Lambeth and local MP for Vauxhall, Kate Hoey. The Queen unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit to the Gardens, which were first created in 1977 to celebrate her Silver Jubilee.
Mark Riches, First Protocol’s managing director, who also is a Jubilee Gardens trustee, said: “We were delighted to be involved in such a worthwhile project in our local community. This was not only a great experience for the team, but directly supported our goals around corporate sustainability. We were recently awarded ISO 20121 certification, so the timing of this event couldn’t have been better. And The Queen even wore First Protocol purple!”
