Glasgow has won the
major 2021 International Congress on Paediatrics, which will bring together 4,000
delegates and generate £8 million to the local economy.
The win was the
result of a joint bid from Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB), the Scottish
Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) and the Royal College of Paediatrics
and Child Health (RCPCH).

approach was key to delivering a successful bid against significant
international competition to host this event. We have a long-standing
history of working with The Royal College who have previously hosted their
national conference with us, and Europaediatrics in 2013.
We have no doubt
that the outstanding reputation of the RCPCH in the global field of paediatrics
and child health ensured a victory, and as always it has been a privilege
working with them. We look forward to welcoming this prestigious event to
Glasgow and The SECC.
