Turnover is predicted to rise to £16.8 million and profit to increase to £1.4m at event agency drp.

The agency announced the forecast on the back of a year that saw a £400k investment at its head office and £650k on new facilities and technology. The firm also invested £200k in training and 25 new team members last year.

In 2015, drp saw turnover grow by 6 per cent to £14.5m, while gross profit was also up by 13 per cent to £9m. Pre-tax profit rose by 66 per cent to £606k.

The 2016 forecast was revealed at the drp’s annual Christmas conference and awards at its Worcestershire headquarters, where group CEO Dale Parmenter presented a review of the year.

He said: “2016 has been a revolutionary and exciting year at drp. We swept up 32 awards, gained 16 new clients such as EE, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Herbert Smith Freehills, alongside launching our ever-growing thought leadership events drptalk. It’s great all the team were able to share in a sizable profit related bonus in recognition of their hard work. I'm certainly excited for what’s in store for 2017.”

During the afternoon, drp recognised top performers with its annual Brilliance Awards. The Anything’s Possible Team of the Year was secured by the ISO 2016 team, who helped to achieve the ISO27001:2015 for drp, while senior account manager Matthew Hayward won the Anything’s Possible Team Member of the Year and a trip to Hong Kong.
