An environmental thought leader and a sport-orientated panel are among the speakers to address this year's Event Production Show.

Guardian columnist and BBC contributor Lucy Siegle will discuss sustainability within events on the first day of the show, before a panel discussion entitled The sporting challenge: creating new audiences through music, will see Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE (Liz Hobbs Group), Simon Bazalgette (The Jockey Club) and Jeremy Clifford (Kent Cricket Grounds) discuss merging event types on day two.

Siegle's session will take place at 3pm on the EPS main stage, on 1 March. Duncan Siegle, event director for Event Production Show, said: "Sustainability is at for the forefront of the events industry, and a constant in our visitors’ minds—many of whom will be on the show floor at EPS. It was important to us to bring a new dimension to the sustainable discussion. We want to show organisers the benefits of embracing all things green—not just for the future of society, but also for commercial success. Lucy is a thought leader and champion of these issues, and we are delighted to welcome her to the show."

The panel discussion will take place at the main stage at 11am on day two, and analyse how to fit two diverse events with two very different audiences into the same venue on the same day. Siegle added: "Events and audiences are changing, presenting organisers with new challenges. This timely panel examines how organisers can work together for the greater good, creating innovative hybrid events that benefit the entire industry."

The Event Production Show takes place on 1-2 March at Olympia London. Register for the show here.
