Five permanent roles have been added to the congress team at WRG's London and Manchester offices, following rising demand from healthcare clients.

The live and experiential agency says the development of key healthcare accounts, along with some new business wins, has led to more virtual meetings and logistics projects.

Russ Lidstone CEO at WRG said of the recruitment drive: "As recently reported in the IPA Bellwether report, event marketing spend continues to rise and we're seeing significant demand for our congress services from our healthcare clients.

"We're investing in our congress delivery expertise in the UK to deliver exceptional delegate experiences for our clients."

Simon Hartley joins the team as congress project manager based in WRG’s Manchester office. Hartley brings 'extensive experience' having previously headed up a large logistics account team for a global healthcare client, delivering more than 80 events a year.

Naomi Hatch joins as a junior project manager having previously worked in medical communications and healthcare marketing in Manchester.

In London, Cleo Andrews takes up the role of delegate manager. Andrews has previously worked as an event co-ordinator in a venue after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University.

She is joined by Joanna MacDonald who takes up the role of delegate manager and Lindsay Whittaker who joins as congress project executive.

The recruitment drive follows the senior appointment of Sallie Coventry as client engagement director in January 2017.
