IET London: Savoy Place says it has recorded 'unprecedented' levels of repeat business this year, with more than 50 per cent of 2017 bookings made up of returning clients.

The London venue hosted more than 2,000 events and 75,000 delegates in 2016, resulting in a 146 per cent increase in food and beverage sales and led to an expansion in the sales, direct marketing and digital AV teams. Returning clients for 2017 include Accenture, BT, IBM, MarkLogic, National Grid, Siemens and Skanska.

The results follow the London venue's re-opening after a £30 million, two-year renovation, which saw investments in digital AV and new staff appointments.

Sean Spencer, head of venues and facilities at IET Venues, commented: "The volume of engineering and technology business returning this year is just reward for the hard work and commitment of the team, and has cemented our position as London’s premier venue for technology driven events. We’ve made the conscious effort to connect our clients before, during and after their events, through support with branding, AV and digital streaming. Our ability to monitor and supply these additional items without any extra cost has been well received. We’ll continue to invest in the venue and our clients’ needs as they carry on evolving."
