Southern Manufacturing and Security & Policing will be among the first shows to take place in the forthcoming Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre.

The two shows will take place in February and March 2018 in the new Hall 1, due to open early 2018. They will be followed by the Fishing Show ‘The Big One’  (March 2018), the National Pet Show as it moves from ExCeL London (May 2018) and  Centaur Media’s Home Building & Renovating (January 2019).

Michael Watton, Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre Venue director, said: "Getting these first shows confirmed for the new venue is a major milestone for all of us here at Farnborough International. They prove how versatile this new space will be and how it’s advanced technology will bring conferences, meetings and events to life in these wonderful new spaces. With under a year to go until we open the doors, we are delighted with the response to this new pioneering vision.  Our objective was to be ready in time for the 2018 Airshow. To be able to open the venue ahead of the planned date and host a series of events in the spring is a fantastic achievement."

The National Pet Show and the Home Building & Renovation show are new arrivals to the aviation-inspired venue, while the other three shows have previously taken place in Farnborough's Hall 4 temporary structure.

The purpose-built venue space will measure 12,500 sqm with enough conference room for up to 2,500 delegates and with nine function rooms.
