Make Events is set to become a corporate-only events agency, as it looks to nearly double turnover this financial year.

The Manchester-based events agency is undergoing a rebrand and will unveil its new logo and website this week, with the aim of growing turnover from £1.4 million to £2.6m.

It comes after a slew of major events for the agency, which attributes 80 per cent of its work to repeat business, including a major fundraiser featuring Kylie Minogue and Ronan Keating.

Founder and MD Holly Moore said: "We had a discussion about this time last year about our current branding being confusing as we mixed in both markets, private and corporate. We toyed with the idea of splitting it into two companies but I became inspired by Blair Cunningham to rebrand.

"Private parties can be lucrative with a good budget but they can be sporadic. In corporate we can offer many types of products and events, and be an extension of the team and be on their journey.

"So we decided to focus Make Events as a full service corporate agency and I will personally take on a number of private events each year, and they will tend to be for the business owners and CEOs I'm working with."

Make Events celebrates its fifth birthday this year.

Moore wants to grow headcount by adding two more staff to the operations team.

Recent appointments include Helen Sanders as senior creative producer and Hannah Pownall as business development manager, while Laura Jacobs has been appointed to head up the venue finding team.

Moore added: "We are set for record growth this year as more and more clients invest in events as the best way to educate, motivate and celebrate with their teams. I’m delighted to welcome Hannah, Laura and Helen to the team to further strengthen our offer and deliver some once-in-a-lifetime events."
