Drp has raised the bar in sustainable events management, becoming one of the first UK agencies to transition to the new ISO accreditations.

The agency was audited for the International Standards Organisations Certifications for Event Sustainability Management (ISO 20121:2012) and transitioned its Environmental Management from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015.

It says it is essential to have sustainable systems in place, given the big impact events and businesses have on resources, society and the environment.

Paul Weston, health and safety manager at drp, said: "We are very proud to have successfully transitioned through the upgrade - this is a fantastic result and exemplifies our dedication to sustainability as a business. The ISO standards audits don’t just assess our processes and procedures, they look at the drp ethos and culture, as well as our commitment to influence our client projects and experiences to ensure these are as sustainable as possible and have been over the past 8 years while we have maintained our ISO accreditations."

Dale Parmenter, CEO at drp, added: "I’m very pleased to say we passed our annual sustainability audit for the ISO20121 and ISO14001 standards with flying colours. The auditors were incredibly impressed with the work we do around the environment, the community and CSR in general. A lot of what we do doesn’t get seen and just happens as part of our day-to-day working lives. A big thank you to Paul Weston for all his hard work behind the scenes and thank you to the drpteam for supporting various projects and sustainable initiatives."
