Now-defunct teambuilding agency Bluehat has been reborn as Blue Hat Teambuilding under a new company, P&H Events.

The agency, which went into liquidation in April and whose accounts on Companies House show outstanding debts of more than £800k, is being led by former Bluehat directors Ben Parkinson and Neil Harvey.

The pair have purchased the brand name and intellectual property from liquidators Hudson Weir, and said they were stepping back in to save the brand.

Parkinson said: "In recent years the old Bluehat company had been taken in different directions which didn't align to the core strength of the brand. The eye was taken off the ball which led to challenges. Neil and I have since stepped back in to save what has been the leading team building brand for over 17 years. We are looking forward to putting our focus back into creating new sophisticated, intelligent and worthwhile team building concepts to enable clients to attain more value from their team meetings and conferences. The core business has always been strong, recognised by an unrivalled 41 industry award wins over the years."

Harvey said: "The response we've had from our corporate and agency clients has been fantastic. Clients are always looking for new and interesting ideas. We draw heavily on experience from the world of theatre to craft engaging experiences, deliberately designed to encompass something for everyone. This results in meaningful events that can be used as 'just for fun' and also as a platform for powerful learning experiences. I’m really excited to be back in the driving seat of Blue Hat Teambuilding."
