OrangeDoor has reported its "most successful year ever", with major client wins helping grow gross profit 37 per cent.

The integrated marketing and events agency won printing press manufacturer Inca Digital and Japanese sports equipment and sportswear brand Mizuno in the 2016-17 financial year, which helped fuel gross profit. It surpassed the previous year's growth, which saw gross profits increase 32.6 per cent.

It comes as OrangeDoor appoints Paul Spiers as new head of marketing and communications.

Managing director Elizabeth Heron said: "OrangeDoor’s performance last year blew everyone away. On top of ongoing successful campaigns for new and existing clients, we held some standout events which positioned us exceptionally with our clients and showed our ability to lead the industry and continue to punch well above our weight and outperform agencies ten times our size."

Those events included events for Dell and Criteo, which attracted more than 10,000 attendees apiece in more than 12 countries.

Heron added that growth in clients from the IT and tech sector had also helped fuel the results.
