Some of London's most iconic venues put on a royal show for a group of US buyers, in a four-day familiarisation trip as part of The eVent: The UK Summit.

The event, organised by Historic Royal Palaces, London & Partners and 2B UK, opened up five palaces to the group.

Highlights included a gala dinner at The Tower of London on 29 July, a visit to Banqueting House, drinks reception at Kensington Palace and private viewing of Diana: Her Fashion Story, a rooftop tour and lunch at Hampton Court Palace and finally, a dinner at Kew Palace.

Milan Thakrar, business development manager, Historic Royal Palaces, said: "It was fantastic to be involved in The eVent: The UK Summit and to work alongside London & Partners to demonstrate what the UK has to offer. The idea behind our Palace Pursuits programme was to allow buyers the time to explore each of our venues, and experience their incredible history for themselves, as well as demonstrating the many different ways the venues can be utilised for events.

"It was also an opportunity to communicate our charitable cause to buyers. As an independent charity which receives no Crown or government funding, all income raised from commercial activities such as corporate and private event hire is reinvested in conservation, public access and educational activities, so present and future generations can continue to enjoy the palaces for years to come."
